Scotland facing Canada in the World Men's Final

2012-04-08 08:47 by Markus Rindlisbacher (comments: 0)

Scotlands Tom Brewster with Michael Goodfellow, Scott Andrews and Greg Drummond gets the revenche in the World Men's Final this afternoon at Basel, when they play against Glen Howards team from Canada with Craig Savill, Brent Laing and Wayne Middaugh.

Brewster lost the 1-2 playoff against Howard in the extra end but won the semifinal against Sweden, skipped by Sebastian Kraupp 7:6.

Therefore the Men's Final will face Scotland against Canada, the same Countries like in the last years final at Regina and with Tom Brewster the same team as last year. He will try to improve his result from last year after loosing the final against Jeff Stoughton.

Norway's Tom Ulsrud plays the Bronze Medal Game against Sweden. Sebastian Kraupp has to play the Skip position again, because of Niklas Edins spinal disc injury. After playing two games at this Worlds, Edin had to undergo surgery yesterday at Basel.

Curling Champions Tour wishes good luck to the European Teams and all the best for Niklas Edins recovery.
